The test is suitable for everyone as it helps determine if your current diet and lifestyle is providing adequate levels of vitamin D
The Department of Health has identified the following as particularly at-risk of vitamin D deficiency:
All pregnant and breastfeeding women
Older people aged 65 years and over
People who have low or no exposure to the sun
People who have darker skin
In addition to these group, research shows that the following individuals may also be at higher risk of deficiency:
Individuals who are overweight and/or have a sedentary lifestyle
Vegetarians/Vegans
Individuals taking certain medication
People with digestive problems
Individuals with liver, kidney, or parathyroid dysfunction

How the test works:
You will receive your home collection kit to collect a finger prick blood sample
Simply follow the instructions included in the kit to register your test (or it cannot be processed) and collect your blood sample
After sample collection, samples are stable for at least two weeks, however it is good practice to send the sample back to the lab on the same day that you collect your sample
Post your sample to the NeoVos lab for analysis using the prepaid return postage in any Royal Mail postbox
Your results will be available from NeoVos within 1 week
They will also share your results with our expert Nutrition Team, who will analyse your results and provide a free 15-minute telephone consultation to help you understand your results and can advise on any further actions

When to collect a sample
Collect your blood sample first thing in the morning before having anything to eat

Any orders placed on a working day will be generally dispatched on the next working day (subject to stock availability). For all orders, you will receive your goods with 5-8 working days.
