  The high-quality hair brushes that we stock from Mason Pearson are generally made of boar bristle tufts that are extremely gentle on the hair. These tufts are as dense as your hair requires - there’s a Mason Pearson brush for every hair type. Construction is carried out with the utmost artisanship, and each hair brush goes through 18 stages of production prior to sale. They are hand-finished in England with a wooden, varnished handle and a patented pneumatic cushion pad that is easy to clean.

• Styling Tips

  Always choose the right hair brush for your hair type and length. For Mason Pearson brushes, the size of the brush should be proportional to the length of your hair. Detangle and section your hair first using the appropriate Pearson hair combs, and begin brushing at the roots. Work your way down to the ends to distribute the natural oils, and always be gentle. After you have brushed your hair, finish with a shine spray to seal in that glossy finish.

• Care and Maintenance

  To maximise the benefits of your Mason Pearson hair brush (or comb!) it’s important that you use them as recommended. Brush with the appropriate hair brush, use them with care, and always brush your hair in sections.

Store your Mason Pearson brush or comb in a cool, dry place also. Don’t forget to clean your hair brush regularly - oftentimes, Mason Pearson brushes will come with a special cleaning brush that must be run across the bristles. Inspecting the bristles every-so-often further ensures that your brush will be as functional as possible for the long-term.

Finally, we recommend that you care for the handle. Do not apply heat or strong chemicals and oils to the handle. Do not leave the handle in strong sunlight.
